Strange Ice

These were taken on a walk around the lake in Close Memorial Park. There was ice where the tree limbs met the water. Not great shots, but I have never seen this effect before and so wanted to post these anyway.

Neat pictures. yes, I've seen it before, usually when grass or branches are in the water.

Intersting picture - something to do with the changed surface tension perhaps ? I like the door picture below - but then again I like contrasty b&w images - and the fact that I like it means it would have bombed in a challenge anmyway.

I like the texture of the branches. Nice shots.

Very unusual capture. I never saw anything like that before. It's good you took this picture.

I love to capture unusual pictures, probably once in a lifetime shots like this. I think it has something to do with the surface tension of the water too and probably when it formed the water was very calm.

I have missed many shots because I didnt have my camera or thought I would go back another time and take one and the scene is never the same a second time and I regret not taking them now.

Nice capture.
