Yesterday I got a Rebel 400 XTi and a "real" tripod for my birthday (and Christmas, Mother's Day and my next birthday!) I had to go try them out at Nathaneal Greene Park. I think the photos come out a little sharper, even though that might not show up after making them smaller for the blog.
