It was too cold, for me anyway, to set up and wait for a good wildlife shot. This was the best I got, and I have decided not to enter (at DPChallenge) if I don't have something I really like. Even if it means update button withdrawal.
I have not been happy with my attempts for the current challenges. Still might get an entry or exit shot, definitely won't do nude (don't know a model even if I wanted to enter!), and I'm getting tired of trying to fill the frame. Maybe I'll like the open challenges announced Wednesday.

The ducks are very nice. There is no wow factor in it, but maybe after decent crop? I always try to enter something those days. The scores are not impressive, but how will I learn, without at least trying?
Hi Elaine,
I'm following your Picture A Week, but didn't realise you also have a Picture A Day!!! My you're a sucker for punishment.
Some nice shots here. My fave so far is "walk around the lake".
Cool ducks! I didn't enter wildlife either, nothing but ducks and gulls around here and it was really too cold to be out shooting them anyway. That's my excuse and I'm sticking by it! LOL
Yeah too cold for wildlife around here too. You got some nice ducks though. I am the same with DP Challenge, the last four or five I have entered just for the hang of it and have received average scores but it has brought my overall average down so now I wont enter unless I am more confident with my shot.
Muscovy ducks ? Snap. I only have a 50mm lens and they were the only things big enough and stupid enough to get a close range shot of. I didn't enter the challenge though. I'm thinking about a seld portrait for the nude challenge. i may do it just to spite all the people who claim that there is something inherently beautiful aout the human body.
Great ducks :o) Wildlife was out for me too seeing as I'm stuck indoors but I am battling with Fill the Frame and the Minimal challenges! Will see if I come up with anything! :o)
