I read a tutorial on DPChallenge and decided to try some of the ideas. First, I downloaded VirtualPhotographer--a free plug-in for Photoshop that lets you create a lot of different effects. These were used to create the top image (starting with the HDR photo).

For the middle image, I made 6 copies of the image and varied the brightness on each one then combined using HDR.

The bottom is the original processed mostly in LightRoom. (Resized and sharpened in PS)

I don't know what kind of flower this is, but it was the most interesting one at the park last night. I went with the intention of taking macros but of course it was too windy!

Wilson's Creek National Battlefield

It's been way too long since I took any photos, the price I pay for being a full time student. All my work is done for the semester and I celebrated by going to Wilson's Creek yesterday to do some shooting.

I took a class on using Adobe Lightroom on Saturday. I only have the trial version for now, but I hope to buy it soon.

Springfield Conservation Nature Center

Went with 7 members of the Southwest Missouri Camera Club last night. Didn't get to shoot everything I wanted to because it started sprinkling too hard.

Tank

Went to a park in Augusta today that had an old tank. It had a ladder so you could crawl on top.

Went with a few members of the camera club. Attempted to take some macro shots but the wind made that difficult.

Float Trip

Or as non-Missourians call it, canoe trip. This was my first time in a canoe. It was a lot of fun and I hope to return soon. This is between Blair Bridge and Dawt Mill in Missouri. The mist was beautiful.
