A Rhododendrum Bud. They started forming a few months ago, and survived a heavy snow and ice storm. Hopefully they will survive to bloom in April or May. (I have never had a rhododendrum bush before, so it has been interesting to watch these buds develop.)

Introduction

I have decided to join other DPC'ers (http://www.dpchallenge.com) in maintaining a photo-a-day blog during 2007. It is my hope that by doing this I will improve at a hobby I love. I am also doing a Photo a Week blog, with the theme of Southwest Missouri, which can be seen at http://chaimelle.blogspot.com. My goals for photography this year are to learn more about settings on my camera and about post processing. While I love digital art, I would like to master "basic" photography first, so I will not be delving into the unusual--at least not very often. See you in January (unless I decide to start early!)
